Our Program Director
Our Programs are Directed by Bill Seward, who played on Moorestown Boy’s all group, public school State Championship team in 1981 under Coach Bill Kingston. Bill almost made the line up his freshman year and by the end of his senior year he was number one singles with a record of 26-1. He attended Division-1 Furman University, Greenville SC on a tennis scholarship, winning the Southern Conference singles & doubles in 1984. For the last twenty five years Bill has owned and operated a number of tennis facilities on the east coast including 16 years Directing Avalon Tennis Camps in Avalon NJ.

#6 Middle States Men’s open singles 1988
D-1 Scholarship Player 1982-86. Furman University, Greenville SC.

Bill provides a great environment for our kids to learn the game. His teaching technique with the kids is very effective, plus he makes the classes fun for the kids. They can’t wait to return each week for his classes. I would recommend Bill’s classes to kids of all levels.

While coaching Bill from 1982-1986 he had much success playing against the best Division-1 competition in the United States. In 1984 Bill was our only player to win the Southern conference tournament in Singles & Doubles. He enjoyed wins over players from many of the top schools in the South including Duke, Clemson, Wake Forest, and University of South Carolina playing as high as #3. Any junior or adult player would be fortunate to work with Bill on their tennis game!

This is how we do it.
Moorestown Youth Tennis offers a combination of tennis instruction & play for all students. Sessions consist of 30 minutes of technique instruction followed by 30 minutes of structured play.
We use a special combination of special tennis balls make this format the most effective.
We get kids playing right away so they can experience all our game has to offer. Students in the 8-12 year old group will also receive tennis strategy training!
Tennis Strategy Training
All student in the 8 – 12 year old group receive important strategy tips, training, and can implement what they’ve learned in class.
Kids play right away!
All children get to play tennis, and learn from playing. All skill levels are welcome, and no child is ever discouraged.
We have a lot of fun
We realize that tennis is not only a sport that can be competitive and rewarding, but we also stress the importance of having fun!
